In mid-March, the Ohio Association of Student Leaders (formerly OASC) will come together for its 67th Annual State Conference. This year's conference will be held March 12-14, 2020.
Please note - students must attend the entire conference, arriving on Thursday, March 12 between 6:30-8:00 p.m. and remaining through 12:30 p.m. on Saturday, March 14. Students who are unable to do so should not be registered.
With special presentations, informative small group discussions, and many opportunities to make new friends and share ideas, the 2020 conference promises to be very special!
Port Clinton High School will be hosting us this year. Located in north central Ohio, the people of the Port Clinton community are excited we are coming and they are working hard to ensure a successful conference. With the involvement and support of community and business leaders, administration, and faculty, the students at Port Clinton are doing a great job in getting ready to welcome our advisors and student delegates.
Start planning now to attend! Your school may send up to fifteen (15) student delegates and as many adviser delegates as you’d like. In the event your school is interested in sending more than fifteen (15) delegates, please contact our Executive Director, Connie Miley. Students who serve as Small Group Workshop Presenters do not count toward your 15 delegates. All the information a delegate will need to know is contained within the following pages, including how to apply to present a Small Group Workshop. It is a good idea to make sure each of your delegates has a copy of this information for his/her parents.
I hope your school will be represented at our 67th Annual State Conference!

Small Group Workshop Presenters should register using the special forms they will receive via e-mail. They are required to pay the $75.00 fee and are subject to late/cancellation fees. For more information on the roles, responsibilities and process of applying to become a Small Group Workshop Presenter, please see the information packet linked above.
Please make sure you submit your registrations by February 25th.
Extra spaces will be assigned after February 25th. If your registrations are late, you risk being closed out of the conference.
Any school with students attending the conference is expected to have at least one adviser or adult chaperone present during the entire conference. We facilitate advisor programming at State Conference to provide advisors with activities and ideas they can share with colleagues and student leaders.
Advisors who attend conference will be able to receive contact hours. Be sure to apply ahead of time in your home district. This will be a great opportunity to learn and share new ideas and to form valuable connections with advisors from across the state.
It is recommended that advisers check in at their hotel prior to arriving at the school. There will be a reception for advisors following our opening session, so it will be best to take care of your accommodations beforehand. Please note - information regarding conference hotels is included in the State Conference Information Packet. You are encouraged to secure your reservations early.
OASC State Service Project
Each year, the host school for our Annual State Conference chooses a service project. All schools attending the conference are encouraged to participate. See the Information Packet for details.
Hall of Ideas
A special benefit of participating in our conference is the sharing of ideas. Each school represented at the conference is encouraged to create a display showcasing the contributions of its group to the school and community. This is your chance to showcase the work of your student leaders. Be sure to visit the Hall of Ideas while at Conference and see the amazing things happening at Ohio schools! Remember - schools with the displays judged "best" will receive a complimentary one-year membership in OASL.
