Ohio IMPACT Day

For community members, the program is a perfect opportunity to connect with OASL, our directors and staff members, and of course, our students. We are proud of the difference our programs make in developing leadership skills in students and the difference our students are making in the communities in which we work and live. Ohio IMPACT Day is a chance for community members to participate in this important mission.

Ohio IMPACT day helps them understand the important role that community members play in leadership and change-making. Exposure to community members as mentors, role models, and partners in students’ leadership efforts is vital for student learning and development. Students also have the chance to practice the networking and relationship-building skills they are learning at Summer Workshop!

All students participating in OASL’s week-long Summer Workshop program will participate in Ohio IMPACT day. Students entering grades 7-12 from across Ohio attend Summer Workshop as participants. OASL’s Summer Workshop staff members will also participate, all of whom are recent high school graduates and current college students. Not only will you meet the incredible students attending and volunteering at OASL, you will be able to network with other stakeholders, educational professionals, supporters, etc. who will be at the event.
